On Monday, 4 May 2020, the National Association of Seadogs (NAS) – Pyrates Confraternity members in Australia and Japan donated non-perishable food and personal care products to the Food Bank of Australia.

The Secretary, Roy Chikwem and the Protocol Officer, Obinna Chukwu presented the donation on behalf of the National Association of Seadogs (NAS) – Hiroshima Deck at the Food Bank office at Glendenning, New South Wale, Australia.

The President of NAS Hiroshima Deck, Sony Allen strongly believes that no Australian should ever go hungry especially after Australia experienced a devastating summer of droughts and fires and now finding themselves with another challenge – COVID-19. The Food Bank of Australia is a not-for-profit, non-denominational organisation operating in every state and territory in Australia. They fight hunger by providing food for 815,000 Australians each month and they advocate for almost 1 in 5 Australians who experience food insecurity each year.

The National Association of Seadogs (NAS) – Hiroshima Deck is committed to supporting communities and directly impacting their immediate environment wherever its members find themselves through the COVID-19 pandemic, while also keeping safe. These are unprecedented times for everyone.
