COURTESY VISIT BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SEADOGS (PYRATES CONFRATERNITY) TO THE FCT COMMISSIONER OF POLICE
The National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, (Prof) Ahmed Sanusi, PhD, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and align with the vision of the Command.
Speaking during the visit, the NAS Capoon, Dr. Joseph Oteri, noted that the engagement was in line with the Association’s tradition of maintaining a cordial and transparent relationship with law enforcement agencies. He informed the Commissioner that the Association would be hosting its quarterly meeting in the FCT, emphasizing that the gathering would be strictly internal, orderly, and conducted without any form of public procession or activity that could disrupt public peace.
Dr. Oteri further highlighted that adequate measures had been put in place to ensure compliance with all laws, including proper coordination of members arriving from across the country. He also disclosed that part of the Association’s activities would include a community service initiative, specifically a free medical outreach for residents, reinforcing NAS’s commitment to humanitarian service and community development.
In his response, the Commissioner of Police welcomed the delegation and commended the Association for its proactive engagement and structured approach. He assured them of the Command’s support and collaboration for the upcoming activities and future engagements.
The visit reinforced the importance of cooperation between civic organizations and security agencies in promoting public safety, peace, and community impact.
