Pentagun Deck Strengthens Partnership with Greenbelt Police to Promote Safer Schools

Jun 3, 2026 | Pentagun, United States of America

Greenbelt, Maryland USA | June 3, 2026 – As part of our Learning Without Fear Back-to-School Initiative, we had the privilege of visiting the Greenbelt Police Department to present a sponsorship check that will help send an additional Greenbelt police officer to the National School Safety Conference and Exposition, taking place July 20–24 in Orlando, Florida.

The conference brings together law enforcement officers, educators, school administrators, and safety professionals from across the country to share practical strategies for protecting schools and strengthening community partnerships. We are proud to contribute to this effort by helping make it possible for another Greenbelt officer to attend and bring valuable knowledge back to our local community.

Our visit wasn’t just about presenting a check—it was another step in building a meaningful partnership with the Greenbelt Police Department.

We were also delighted to present the department with a copy of our Above Board magazine, highlighting the work Pentagun Deck has been doing in our communities both here in Maryland and abroad. It was an opportunity to share our story and the values that continue to guide our service.

The visit concluded with an invitation to our upcoming Feast of Barracuda Community Engagement and Family Picnic, taking place on Saturday, July 11, 2026. We are pleased that the Greenbelt Police Department accepted our invitation and will have a community engagement booth at the event. Residents will have the opportunity to meet officers, ask questions, learn about public safety programs, and build stronger relationships with the men and women who serve our community.

For us, this partnership represents more than a single event or sponsorship. It reflects our belief that safe schools are built when communities, parents, educators, and law enforcement work together with a shared purpose.

This initiative is part of a broader commitment by Pentagun Deck to support education and child welfare. Earlier this year, we sponsored the education of 15 children in Nigeria who had been living on the streets, giving them an opportunity to return to the classroom. We also joined fellow advocates in Washington, D.C., to call on the Nigerian government to secure the release of school children and teachers abducted by terrorists in Oyo State.

Whether we are helping children return to school, advocating for those whose education has been interrupted by violence, or supporting the professional development of officers who help keep our schools safe, our mission remains the same: every child deserves the opportunity to learn in safety and with hope for the future.

We look forward to welcoming the Greenbelt Police Department and members of the community to the Feast of Barracuda on July 11 as we continue working together to build stronger, safer, and more connected communities.

Because every child deserves a safe place to learn.

Learning Without Fear. Building Safer Schools Together.
