NAS Oxbow Marino Deck Identifies Accident Hotspots in Yenegoa

On Saturday 14th Nov 2020, Oxbow Marino Deck of the National Association of Seadogs (NAS), embarked on a “Road Caution Signage” project in Yenegoa, the Bayelsa State Capital. The Association’s core value of giving back to the society has propelled us here in Yenagoa to install these road Signages which will help reduce the incessant road accidents.

The signages were installed at some busy spots in Yenagoa – from the Opolo Roundabout to the ascension of the Berger bridge junctions – contributing our little quota through the use of the Road Signs at these highlighted spots. These signs will provide pre-warning to motorists as they approach these spots  especially at night, in other to help curb avoidable accidents.

The signs were unveiled in the presence of members of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and a representative of Federal Ministry of Transport. This gesture was used to also call on the Ministry of Transport to replicate these signs at accident-prone areas that lack adequate warning signs, to reduce accidents in the State Capital.
