NAS Sahara Deck – Jeje Community Clean Water Advocacy Project

May 5, 2022 | NAS in the News

This is an expository video by Sahara Deck of the National Association of Seadogs – Pyrates Confraternity, in Abuja. The Sahara Pyrates embarked on trips to this community over 2 months to understand their plight with regards access to clean water.

The video shows how the community over centuries have depended on well and stream water as their main source of water, often shared with cattle. There have been outbreaks of disease there with no functional healthcare center nearby to serve the community.

This community is about 50km away from the seat of the Federal Government – Aso Rock.

In keeping with our objectives of;
– protecting the weak and needy by promoting and supporting humanitarian and charitable deeds;
– promoting public enlightenment and education through workshops, seminars, symposia, advocacy etc., in order to draw attention to the inadequacies of the citizenry;

NAS Sahara Deck calls on Nigerians to sign this petition to urge the Nigerian Government to as a matter of urgency provide pipe borne clean water and a primary healthcare center for the people of the Jeje Community
