Project Summary

➢ The ongoing global pandemic has significantly impacted the world over including the United States.
➢ Reduced funding for local government and county schools. One of such county schools being the Pathway Schools System serving special needs students.
➢ Limited access to technological devices such as Chrome book and Desktop computers.
➢ Need for ten Chrome books at the Pathway school to ensure that education in this group of students is not interrupted.

In line with the goals of the International Education Day, 2021, the need to assist the less privileged members of the society towards obtaining quality education cannot be overemphasized and this need has become more pronounced in this prevailing global pandemic.

Without inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong opportunities for all, the gap between the haves and the have nots, the able and the disabled, will continue to widen.

The current global pandemic exacerbated this situation and exposed some gaps/needs and opportunities for assistance.

Pentagun Deck identified this need and elected to collaborate with the Pathway School System, a special – needs school system in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA, that caters to about 100 students.

Pathways Schools identified immediate pressing needs, including lack of electronic hardware / computers.

Pentagun deck through the help of its team of Volunteers bridged this gap with the provision of 10 Chrome – books.
